Hello!
I’m Franklin Pinos, a passionate educator with 10 years of experience in Elementary Education. Originally from Ecuador, I began my teaching career there, where I taught for 3 years before moving to North Carolina, USA. During my 5 years in North Carolina, I enriched my teaching practices and adapted to new educational environments. I am now in Myanmar, embarking on my 3rd year of teaching in this vibrant and diverse setting.
As an international teacher fluent in both English and Spanish, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse classrooms, fostering a love for learning in multiple languages. I thrive on working collaboratively and supporting my colleagues, believing that teamwork enhances our ability to provide the best learning experiences for our students.
Previously, I served as the Summer School Coordinator for the elementary division, a role that allowed me to develop and implement effective educational programs. Currently, I am the Grade Level Leader for Grade 4, where I continue to focus on creating engaging and supportive learning environments.
I am committed to developing International Mindedness in my students, a theme I explore in workshops and presentations for fellow educators. I am a certified IB PYP teacher, where I can further cultivate inquiry-based learning and global perspectives in young minds. I believe in creating an inclusive, dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and empathy.
When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me exploring new cultures and seeking fresh ideas to bring back to my students. My diverse experiences across different countries have shaped my approach to education and deepened my understanding of global perspectives.
