Hello,
I’m Franklin Pinos, a bilingual international educator with over 13 years of experience teaching elementary students across Ecuador, the United States, Myanmar, and currently Kuwait. My journey as an educator has been shaped by diverse cultural contexts, which have strengthened my adaptability, global perspective, and commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for all students.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for inquiry-based, student-centered learning. Working within international schools and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), I focus on fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and student agency through concept-driven Units of Inquiry. I have also taken on leadership roles such as Grade Level Leader and Summer School Coordinator, where I contributed to curriculum development, team collaboration, and the overall improvement of student learning experiences.
As an educator, I believe that learning should go beyond the classroom. I am deeply committed to developing international-mindedness, helping students become reflective, open-minded, and responsible global citizens. My experience living and working in different countries has not only shaped my teaching philosophy but also strengthened my ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring new cultures, traveling, and continuously seeking new ideas to bring back into my teaching practice. I am passionate about growth, both for myself and my students, and I strive to be part of school communities that value collaboration, innovation, and a genuine love for learning.
